This CD re-issue of a truly classic USSR Rockabilly album by legendary 'Mister Twister'. The original vinyl came out in 1989 on the major USSR label 'Melodiya' (Melody) and you might have seen it in collectors shops, as somehow the release found it's way all over the world.
Personally I have seen the album in Paris and London and have friends who bought in Japan and Spain. This recording is filled with wild energy and well produced rockin' tunes. 15 mainly original, although you can hear how the guys rework classics like 'Shake Rattle & Roll' and 'Rock Therapy' in Russian language.

A piece of Soviet Rock 'n' Roll history! This CD is a limited edition collectors item, so grab it if you're lucky enough to find it.

Hi Marc,

The CD is released on Big Town Records (London) and I know there were some copies made only for sale in Japan.

Is this also issued by Melodija? Another historical USSR album to look out for on Melodija would be from 'Rock Hotel' (Estonia), which goes right back to 1983... could be the first "modern rockin'" band release in ex-USSR.
