A concert promoter sued musical legend Chuck Berry last Wednesday, saying Berry had skipped out on scheduled concerts and failed to reimburse travel expenses from last summer's European tour.
The suit, filed in federal court in St. Louis by Cheyenne Productions S.A. of Nevada, says that Berry was supposed to be paid a total of $363,000 for 12 concerts across Europe. He skipped three, but didn't pay back the $93,000 total he'd been paid for those shows and $30,000 in extra travel expenses.
The suit also accuses Berry of performing 11 overseas shows in November that were arranged by Cheyenne, but cutting Cheyenne out of the deal.
Berry could not be reached for comment since Wednesday evening.
