The Redline Rockets are a Denver based four piece combo, comprised of rhythm and lead guitars, drums, and upright bass. They cover many great rockabilly classics by artists such as Gene Vincent, Charlie Feathers, Eddie Cochran, Buddy Holly, Carl Perkins, etc. with a large number of originals thrown in the mix. The four members of the group have very diverse backgrounds, from country, to rock-a-billy, to blues, to surf, and old school rock and roll. All these influences help them create their own unique blend of rock-a-billy music.
The Redline Rockets have enjoyed great success since founding the band in January of 2008. They played at Viva Las Vegas in April 2009 and have already been booked for 2010. Their original song, “Monkey See, Monkey Do” was included in the Viva Las Vegas 2009 compilation CD.
The Redline Rockets performed January 29th, 2009 at the legendary Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa for the 50th Anniversary Winter Dance Party Buddy Holly Tribute to a sold-out audience of 2100 people, sharing the bill with Los Lobos, Graham Nash, Bobby Vee, Peter & Gordon, The Crickets and many other bands. The Redline Rockets also opened for Rockabilly Hall of Famer Big Sandy & His Fly-Rite Boys when he appeared at Fortune Valley Casino last January.
